Mangalore, June 14, 2012: MP Nalin Kumar Kateel inaugurated the brand new building of Hajabba’s Government Composite High School at Harekal, New Padpu on June 14, Thursday.

Referring to Harekala Hajabba as a “crusader for education,” MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said that Hajabba leads a selfless life in a world where people generally think about their own welfare.

He also promised that he will release Rs. 5 lakh from the MP fund for the school and will arrange for private institutions to release Rs. 10 lakh more to improve facilities such as access roads and drainage systems at the school.

 

Acknowledging the role played by Hajabba in the construction of a school in the remote area of Harekala, he said that Hajabba’s school has made it possible for many rural children to get an education.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA U. T. Khader said that Harekala’s achievements in the field of education are indeed impressive. He urged the students of Hajabba’s school to grab all opportunities available to them and achieve cent percent results.

The new building houses classrooms for Std VIII, Std IX, and Std X.
