Bantwal, April 24: The Nagamandalotsava was held grandly at the Nagabana in Kalline belonging to the family of MLA Ramanath Rai on April 21 – 23.







The Vedic rituals were conducted by Vedamurthi Polali Subrahmanya Tantri on April 22 – 23. Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade presided over the event and said in his presidential address that Nagaradhane is very important for the people of the coastal region. Anant Asranna, the priest of Kateel Temple, delivered the religious discourse.

Oscar Fernandes, the member of the Rajya Sabha; Amarnath Shetty, the former state minister; MLAs Abhayachandra Jain, U. T. Khader, and K. Vasanth Bangera; A. Rukmaya Poojary, the former MLA; Pratapchandra Shetty; Fr. Roque D’Souza, the parish priest of Modankap; and Ahmed Haji Thumbe were also present.

MLA B. Ramanath Rai and his wife were among the dignitaries on the dais. Swami Vidyaprasanateertha of Subramanya visited the venue and conveyed his best wishes to the family.

A cultural programme featuring a musical concert by Vidyabhushana formed the highlight of the event.

Chandraprakash Shetty, the member of the Zilla Panchayat; Padmashekar Jain, the member of the Taluk Panchayat; A. C. Bhandary, the former member of the ZP; Dr. Sathish Rai; Rajashekar Rai; and Chennaveni Dr. Mohandas Shetty, along with thousands of devotees participated in the Nagamandalotsava.
