Mangalore, April 23: MLA U. T. Khader has been elected as the secretary of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), following the approval of Sonia Gandhi, the president of the All India Congress (AIC).
So far, Khader has served as the secretary, president, and vice president of the district NSUI and also as the senate member of the Mangalore University. After 2000, he served as the president of the Ullal Block Congress, the national trainer of Akhila Bharatha Congress Sevadala, Karnataka State Seva Dal leader, KPCC member, and MLA of Mangalore. He is also active in several associations.
Khader was supported by Oscar Fernandes, G. Parameshwara, B. Janardhana Poojary, M. Veerappa Moily, Janab B. A. Moideen, Vinay Kumar Sorake, Prathapchandra Shetty, Ramanath Rai, Vasanth Bangera, Abhayachadra Jain, and others.
