Mangalore, Nov 10, 2012 : The Mangalore Christian Council (MCC) will celebrate its golden jubilee on Nov 15, Thursday at Bishop Jathanna Auditorium, Theological College, Balmatta at 5:00 p.m.
Addressing reporters today, Rev. John Baptist Saldanha, secretary of the executive committee of MCC, said that the MCC is a voluntary body of Christians, patronized by the bishops of the Church of South India (CSI), the Southern Karnataka Diocese, and the Catholic Diocese of Mangalore. It has members from various Christian denominations in Mangalore and spreads the message of unity and harmony.
The MCC will celebrate its golden jubilee by holding a thanksgiving program. Rev. Fr. Ronnie Prabhu will be felicitated on this occasion.
A book titled A Brief History of the MCC will also be released on this occasion. A cultural program will form part of the event.
F. M. Lobo, Rev. Fr. Hannibal Cabral, Dennis D’Sa, and many others were also present.
