Kundapur: Veteran Kannada actor Mangaluru Dinesh passes away

Kundapur, Aug 25, 2025: Senior Kannada film actor and art director Mangaluru Dinesh passed away on Monday morning at his residence in Kundapur after a prolonged illness.

Hailing from Mangaluru, Dinesh began his career in theatre before moving to films as an art director, working on projects such as No. 73, Shantinivasa. He later transitioned to acting and rose to fame with his acclaimed role as Sitaram Shetty in K M Chaitanya’s Aa Dinagalu.

He went on to become a familiar face in Sandalwood, remembered especially for his portrayal of the Bombay don in the blockbuster KGF. His other notable works include Ricky, Harikatha Alla Girikatha, and Ulidavaru Kandanthe.

Known for his versatility and commitment to cinema, Mangaluru Dinesh leaves behind a rich legacy in both art direction and acting.
