Kasargod : 2 nabbed in Abdul Salam murder case

Kasargod, Aug 15, 2013 : Kasargod Police who have achieved a breakthrough  in the investigation into the recent case of  murder of Dubai based businessman AB Abdul Salam after a robbery attempt in his house at Trikkaripura, have arrested two persons.

The arrested are E K Naushad (34) of Kotepura, Neeleshwar and E K Mohammed Rameez (30). Police have also recovered two vehicles from them. Interrogations of the two have revealed that a total of seven persons were involved in the act. It is learnt, the duo had sought the help of some persons from Thrissur to execute the act.

The police are on look out for the rest of the accused. It may be recalled here that the incident had taken place on the night of August 5. The assailants had tied the family members of Salam and had strangulated him to death. They had also broken all CCTV cameras in the house and had fled with the hard disc. It is believed that they had planned a major robbery in the house of Abdul Salam who had several businesses in Dubai.

Another interesting revelation is that the duo  were related to the deceased Abdul Salam. The police could zero in on them after tracking the sim which they had bought in the Neeleshwar market.
