Kasargod: 2 killed, 4 injured in bike-auto collision

Kasargod, March 30, 2013 : A macabre accident that took place on the National Highway at Mogral Puttur on March 28, Thursday evening, has claimed the lives of two youngsters. Three others sustained injuries in the mishap.

accident 1 The mishap took place when a bike collided head-on with an autorickshaw. The impact of the mishap was such that the two riders were thrown off the bike killing them on the spot.

The deceased are Sadiq (19) and Sameer Asif (20) of Mogral Puttur. Of the two, Sameer was a good football player and captain of Mogral Puttur Young Challengers Football Club.

The mishap took place when the duo was returning after a football match. The bike collided head-on with an autorickshaw carrying four passengers and was heading towards Kumble. Both the vehicles were badly mangled in the mishap.

The auto passengers namely Dania(12), Maria (60), Ayesha (40) and the drive Abdul Khader sustained injuries. A three month old child which was in the auto was luckily unhurt.

Kasargod police have registered a case.
