Kannada biography of Msgr. Raymond Mascarenhas released

Mangalore, June 15, 2012 : Sr. Wilberta, president of Bethany Educational Society, released Hombelaku, a Kannada biography of Msgr. Raymond Mascarenhas, penned by Prof. Stephen Quadros, in Bethany Hall on June 15, Friday.

Sr. Rose Celine delivered the welcome and introductory address.

 

 

In her address, Sr. Wilberta said that Msgr. Raymond Mascarenhas, the founder of Bethany Congregation, gave top priority to education, especially the education of girls.

Congratulating Stephen Quadros, she said that his book will help parents and children forge strong familial bonds.

Sr. Assumpta, member of the management council, introduced the writer to the audience and said that he has rightly portrayed Msgr Raymond Mascarenhas as a spiritual and secular leader. She also said that Prof. Quadros has to his credit a number of works in Konkani, Kannada, and English.

Sr. Mariette, provincial superior, felicitated Steevan Quadros.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Quadros expressed his joy at being associated with the Bethany Foundation. He also spoke in appreciation of the Bethany Educational Society and lauded the sisters for their contributions to society.
