Kadri cops nab notorious thieves; seize electronic goods worth Rs 4.75 lakh

Mangalore, Mar 26, 2013: Two notorious criminals wanted in connection with several theft cases were arrested by the Kadri police   at the Balmatta Mission Compound on March 26, Tuesday.

Police have seized  from them  eight laptops, 3 LCDs, an AC split unit, two digital cameras, one CPU, a CC Camera, three mobile sets and a Honda Activa, all valued at Rs 4.85 lakhs.

 

 

The Kadri cops led by Inspector Raghava Padil, acted on a tip off and arrested the two namely Muneer Ahmed alias Goods Muneer alias Munna alias Nitin (57), a resident of Hoigebazar and Ibrahim BA (67) hailing from Hosangadi, Manjeshwar. It is said Muneer was wanted in over 27 theft cases.

Police said the duo had stolen the goods from various shops and showrooms in Mangalore including Smile Dental Clinic. Bendur, Computer Centre, Urvastores, Innovation at Deepa Comforts, Tally Computers at Balmatta, a TV showroom at Bejai Kapikad and an AC service centre at Valencia.
