KSRTC withdraws Kasaragod–Mangaluru bus fare hike after Kumble Arikkadi toll cancellation

Mangalore Today News Network

Kasaragod, Feb 5, 2026: The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has withdrawn the proposed hike in bus fares on the Kasaragod–Mangaluru route following the cancellation of the Kumble Arikkadi toll on National Highway 66.

The toll charges, which were to come into effect from February 4, have been revoked, leading KSRTC to maintain existing fares for bus services operating between Mangaluru and Kasaragod, according to a statement by the Mangaluru Senior Divisional Control Officer.

The rollback of both the toll levy and the fare hike has brought relief to daily commuters, who were otherwise facing higher travel expenses.
