Holiday for PU colleges, schools in DK on May 27, 28

Mangaluru, May 27, 2025: Dakshina Kannada district administration on Monday declared holiday for all pre-university colleges, schools and anganwadis in the district on May 27 and 28 in view of heavy rains.
The leave applies to both government and private education institutes and CBSE schools, a release from the office of Deputy Commissioner said.
It said that red alert has been declared for the district till May 28.
The administration advised tourists and others not to go for trekking and get into waters in sea and rivers. It asked parents to take care of their children in this regard.
