Mangalore, June 17, 2012: Mangalore experienced heavy rainfall on June 16, Saturday. Although the intensity of the monsoon was considerably less on Saturday afternoon, several areas became victims of artificial flooding.
Suratkal and Subrahmanya witnessed good rainfall, but it was average in Kinnigoli, Ullal, and Mulky.
There was artificial flooding near City Hospital, Mahakali Padpu, and Jeppinamogeru. The water went up to knee-level in Jeppinamogeru and Mahakali Padpu, making things very difficult for commuters, drivers, and passersby.
