Goons involved in Moral policing to be booked under Goonda Act: Rai

Mangalore, Dec 28, 2013: State Forest Minister B Ramanath Rai said that District congress condemn the increasing act of moral policing and also directed the concerned officials to take stringent action against the culprits involved in moral policing.

Speaking at the press meet held at District Congress office on Dec 28, Saturday, he said that Congress is strong and secular party and will not tolerate any moral policing act by any organization. 

He also said that he has discussed with the concerned higher authorities to remove the moral police act from the grass root level and book the culprits under Goonda act.

Rai said that, if the minorities become communal, it is dangerous to their community, but if the Hindu’s become communal, then it is dangerous to the country. Since the Hindu’s in large number are present in various administrative departments.

An appeal has been sent to home minister to book goons involved moral policing act under Goonda Act and also take strict action against the police officials who support the organizations, he informed.

Leaders Kodijal Ibrahim, Suresh Ballal, Shashidhar Hegde, T K Sudhir and others were present.
