Gas, diesel tankers collide head-on near Nelyady ; driver injured

Nelyady, Feb 27, 2021:     A head-on collision between a gas tanker and a diesel tanker  at Hosamajalu near  Nelyady on the Mangaluru-Bengaluru National Highway during the early hours  February 27, Saturday  resulted in injuries to the driver of the diesel  tanker.

As  there was  a thick fog, the accident  might have occurred due to poor visibility. The gas tanker was on way to Bengaluru from Mangaluru. Luckily there was no gas leakage.

The injured driver has been hospitalised. The accident even affected vehicular movement on the road for some time.

Nelyady police are at the spot.
