Mangalore, August 17, 2011: The Mangalore Special Police, Forest Mobile Squad arrested Chamaraj (55) after getting a tip that he had in his possession nails and teeth of tigers.
According to a press release issued by the squad on Wednesday, Chamaraj was nabbed at KSRTC bus stand in Bejai and 14 tiger nails and 3 tiger teeth were confiscated from him.
A case has been registered against Chamaraj under the Wildlife Conservation Act at Urwa Police Station.
PSI Manjunath Shenoy and staff members Umesh Hosolike, Sitaram, Ashok Shetty, Paparam, Chandrashekar, and Harshachandra Gowda investigated this case under the guidance of Narayan Gowda, the IGP of the Bangalore Special Forest Squad, and A. R. Anevekar, the SP of Madikeri Special Forest Squad.
