Mangalore, Sep 30: The Karnataka State Union for Differently Abled Service Organizations and Employees inaugurated its state administrative office at Arouza Building opposite University College on September 30, Friday.
MLA U. T. Khader presided over the event and said in his presidential address that this is the organization’s first head office in Mangalore and that the organization has the responsibility to work for the benefit of activists.
Shri Dharmasthala Rural Development Project Director Jayashankar Sharma released a souvenir titled Seon Star on this occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the differently abled require support, not sympathy. He urged parents of specially abled children not to feel ashamed of them, but to consider them as gifts of God and introduce them into society. Although there is a commission for differently abled people, it is not working for their benefit.
Vasanth Kumar Shetty, the general secretary of the organization, delivered the introductory address.
Fr. Richard Aloysius Coelho, the administrative officer of Fr. Muller Medical College Mangalore, delivered the benedictory address.
