Mangaluru/Chamarajanagar/Haveri, Jun 30, 2026: Panic gripped court premises in several parts of Karnataka on Monday after bomb threat emails were sent to multiple courts across the state, prompting extensive security checks.
The Chamarajanagar District and Sessions Court received yet another bomb threat email, marking the third such threat within a week. According to reports, the previous two emails had been sent from the same email address, while the latest threat originated from a different address. Following the alert, police, along with the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) and the dog squad, conducted a thorough search of the court premises.
The Mangaluru District Court complex also received a bomb threat email. Acting swiftly, the BDDS and dog squad carried out an extensive search of the entire premises. As no suspicious objects were found, officials declared the threat to be a hoax.
A similar bomb threat email was also received by the Haveri Court. Authorities treated the matter with utmost seriousness and implemented the necessary security measures while carrying out a detailed inspection of the court premises.
