Mangalore, March 19, 2013 : DK District in-charge Minister CT Ravi has expressed his displeasure over the failure of the authorities in the district in the effective implementation of several schemes initiated by the government for the benefit of the homeless.
Participating in the KDP tri-monthly progress review meeting held at DK ZP Meeting Hall on March 18, Monday, the Minister made it a point that the benefits of various government programmes should reach the target group. He instructed the authorities as well as the Tahsildars to see that lands are provided to the homeless.
The Minister further instructed the authorities to see that the roads are motorable and also to give priority to solve the drinking water problem. He also made it a point that it was the duty of officials to see to it that the funds sanctioned for any project does not get lapsed.
