District Food Inspectors raids G L bakery, seals products over safety violations

Mangaluru, Oct 19, 2026: Acting on orders of Health Minister UT Khader, a team led by Dakshina Kannada District Food Safety Officer Dr Praveen Kumar CH raided G L bakery at Falnir Junction in Mangaluru on Saturday.

The inspection was part of a drive to check food manufacturing units and businesses involved in the preparation and sale of sweets and other food products.

During the raid, officials seized and sealed food products whose packaging did not carry mandatory details, including the date of manufacture, expiry date, batch number and Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) licence number.
