Thousands Participate in Mangaluru Dasara Marathon

Mangaluru, October 18, 2026: Thousands of people participated in the fourth edition of the Mangaluru Dasara Marathon organised by Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Temple on Saturday as part of the Mangaluru Dasara celebrations.

The event featured four categories — 21 km, 10 km, 5 km and 3 km — attracting students, youth and senior citizens. The marathon began at the Kudroli temple premises and passed through major city roads, including Alike Road, Mannagudda and M.G. Road. Spectators gathered along the route to cheer the participants.

The organisers said the marathon aimed to promote fitness and spread the message of unity advocated by social reformer Narayana Guru, who established the Kudroli Gokarnanatha Temple.

The Mangaluru City Police made elaborate traffic arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
