District Congress observes Founders Day

Mangalore, Dec 28, 2011: The district unit of the Congress Party observed their Founder’s Day in their district office today.

KPCC General Secretary Ivan D’Souza said on the occasion that the Congress Party came into existence 126 years back and has been working for the uplift of the poor people ever since its inception. He also said that the Congress has worked to unite the people of the country and to strengthen itself through social welfare activities.

 

Declaring that the Congress is the cleanest political party, having sacrificed a lot for the common people, he said that people once again want the Congress to come to power because a large number of people had obtained houses when the Congress was in power.

Speaking on the greatness of the Congress party, P. V. Mohan said that the Congress does not need to proclaim its greatness, because the people already understand its value. He also declared that the Congress has always strived to unite Hindus and Muslims for the progress of the country.

Congress leaders Mithun Rai, Kodija Ibrahim, Azeez, Mamatha Gatty, H. M. Ashraf, Nagendra, Moideen Bawa, and Sadashiv Ullal were also present.
