Building on the success of its earlier editions, Den Den Swim 2026 saw participation from nearly 400 swimmers from across India and abroad, establishing it as one of the country’s most structured and safety-focused open-water swimming competitions. The championship featured race categories of 500 metres, 2 km, 4 km, 6 km, and a newly introduced 8 km endurance sea swim.

The event began at 6.30 am following a flag-hoisting ceremony by DIG P.K. Mishra of the Indian Coast Guard, Mangaluru unit. Races were conducted through staggered starts, ensuring smooth progression and strict adherence to safety protocols.

A key highlight of the championship was its incident-free conduct, underscoring the organisers’ strong emphasis on sea safety and preparedness. The Indian Coast Guard provided critical sea safety support throughout the event, working in coordination with the trained lifeguard team of the Mangalore Surf Club. Medical arrangements were bolstered by KMC Hospital, Mangaluru, which deployed on-site ambulance services, emergency medical care, and physiotherapy support.

Mukund Realty served as the title partner for Den Den Swim 2026, playing a pivotal role in scaling the event while maintaining high organisational and safety standards. The organisers also acknowledged the support of Hollywood Bar & Lounge (Breakfast Partner), Fast&Up (Hydration Partner), and WeOne Aqua Centre for officiating and technical assistance.

Beyond competition, Den Den Swim continues to promote sea confidence and ocean safety awareness, while positioning Mangaluru as a premier destination for open-water sports. The organisers expressed gratitude to all supporting organisations, including the Indian Coast Guard, KMC Hospital, the Open Water Swimmers Foundation (OWSF), WeOne Aqua Centre, Hollywood Bar & Lounge, and members of the Mangalore Surf Club, for ensuring the smooth conduct of the event.
