DKZMSS to demonstrate the fun of learning Kannada

Mangalore, Dec 28, 2011: The DK Zilla Makkala Sahitya Sangama (DKZMSS) will present the 50th version of its unique program to promote Kannada language “Kathe Kelona, Haadu Haadona, Kannada Ulisona, Kannada Belesona” at Sharada Vidyalaya on Jan 31. 

Addressing reporters at a press conference held on Jan 28 Wednesday, Savithri S. Rao, the resource person for this event, said that students are no longer enthusiastic enough to learn Kannada and that the DKZMSS will demonstrate the fun of learning the language during this program.

She said that sixty students of Std I to Std VII will participate in this program, with both instructor and children enacting stories to make it easier for students to grasp the relationship between words and actions. The purpose of the event is to improve the vocabulary of students. 

Prof. Anantha Padma Rao, the president of DKZMSS; Secretary B. Shrinivas Rao; Committee Member Vamana Idya; and Ramesh Bhat S. G., the former president, were also present at the press conference.
