Mangalore, Dec 12, 2013 : The Fourth Additional District Sessions Court which has completed hearing into three of the several cases against cyanide killer Mohan Kumar, will be announcing its verdict on December 17.
The hearing into the cases of murders of Anitha of Bantwal, Leela of Vamadapadavu and Sunanda of Sullia who fell victim to the trap laid by Mohan Kumar and died at his hands, had begun on November 21, 2011 in the then existent fast track court. Later, the cases were transferred to the Fourth Additional District Sessions court which completed the hearing on November 30.
Though the court had reserved the judgement for December 9, it was postponed and now the judgement day is fixed at December 17.
Hearing into the other cases of Shashikala of Kariangala, Hema alias Hemavathi of Idkidu in Bantwal, Yashoda of Megina Maladi, Vinutha of Padumajalu in Puttur, Sujatha of Bajpe Guddabettu and Kamala from Kasargod who stayed at Tokkottu are presently underway.
The serial killer Mohan Kumar is facing the charges of killing as many as 21 young women after luring them of marriage, having sex with them and killing them with cyanide pills after making them believe that it was contraceptive pills.
