Counting of votes: BJP candidates leading in DK, Udupi

Mangaluru, June 4, 2024: Initial trends in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi Lok Sabha constituencies where counting is underway on June 4, Tuesday, have revealed that BJP is leading. In Dakshina Kannada BJP candidate Capt. Brijesh Chowta is leading while in Udupi, BJP’s Kota Srinivas Poojary is leading.
In the first round of counting, Brijesh Chowta secured 18,181 votes while Padmaraj of Congress got 10,591 votes. In Udupi, Kota Srinivas Poojary has secured 23,378 votes in the first round while Congress candidate Jayaprakash Hegde has secured 12,560 votes.
