Corp Bank bags ‘Caring Company Award’

Mangalore, Feb 20, 2013: Corporation Bank has been conferred with the “Caring Company Award” at World CSR Congress 2013 held at Mumbai on February 18, Monday.Ajai Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director of the Bank received the Award.

The Award is given to organizations which demonstrate good corporate citizenship, raise public awareness of good corporate citizenship demonstrated by the business and public sectors and their contribution to a caring community and motivate strategic partnership initiatives among the public, business and charitable organizations, a press release from Corporation Bank stated.

 

The “Caring Companies Award” aims at cultivating good corporate citizenship. It is specifically geared to encourage strategic partnerships among businesses and non-profit organizations to create a more cohesive society. Besides cultivating corporate social responsibility, it also endeavours to promote partnership between the business and the social welfare sectors, the release added.

K Ramamurthy, General Manager of Corporation Bank, Prof. Dr. Christoph Stückelberger, Director and Founder, Globethics.net and   Ketan Kulkarni, Vice President, Blue Dart Express  were also present at the Awards function.
