Mangaluru, July 10, 2024: The Congress party leaders and workers staged a protest in front of the MCC office under the aegis of the South Block Congress to condemn the offensive statement made by Mangaluru North MLA Bharath Shetty regarding Congress MP and Opposition Leader in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi.

The protestors demanded that the MLA must be arrested and action initiated against him.Though the protestors tried to block the road, police intervened and prevented them.

DCC Chief Harish Kumar, MLC Ivan D’Souza, District Mahila Congress President Shalet Pinto, former mayors K Ashraf, Shashidhar Hegde, Corporator Naveen D’Souza and others participated in the protest.
