Cong wins Ullal, Belthangady, Moodbidri ; BJP in Sullia

Mangalore, March 11, 2013  : The Congress has won 17 seats in the elections to the Ullal TMC held on March 7. The BJP has won in seven wards, Independents and JD(S) in two each and SDPI in one ward.

In Belthangady, of the total 11 seats, Congress has gained an absolute majority by winning in 9 wards. The BJP had made it in two wards.

In Moodbidri too, it is the Congress which reigns supreme by winning 13 out of the total 23 seats. The BJP has won in four and the JD(S) in three seats.

Sullia is the only town in the DK district where the BJP could make it to power. It has bagged 12 out of the total 18 seats while Congress has won in five wards and one seat for SDPI.

In Puttur, Congress has bagged 12 seats, while BJP has won in 10 wards.

In Bantwal, BJP won 5 seats, Congress in 13 wards, while SDPI bags 3 seats and JD(S) and Independent: get one seat each.
