Commissioner holds meet with Muslim community leaders

Mangaluru, June 13, 2022: In the wake of  rumous being circulated on social media by anonymous people and organisations over the  comments against Prophet by now expelled BJP leaders, the City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar convened a meeting of Muslim community leaders on June 13, Monday.

 

 

 

The Commissioner requested the leaders not to pay heed to rumours and also to ensure peace.

The Commissioner later said the leaders have given assurance in this regard.

B A Mumtaz Ali, Vice President of the Muslim Central Committee while welcoming the Commissioner’s holding the meeting, also suggested that a meeting of leaders of all communities along with elected representatives too would be advisable.

DCP Hariram Shanker was also present.
