City police arrest 4 for smoking ganja

Mangalore, July 25, 2012 : The city police on July 24, Tuesday arrested four men for smoking ganja in a public place.

The arrested are Tejas, Suresh, Prasad, and Gautam of Shaktinagar. The group comprised a fifth man, who fled from the scene when he saw the police approaching.

The police caught the four red-handed while smoking ganja near Ramakrishna Mission Ground.

Since the people in the neighborhood had complained about these men, the police were keeping a sharp eye on them. The gang would regularly smoke ganja in the public place and create a public nuisance.

The police seized 50 – 60gms of ganja, an auto rickshaw, and 3 two-wheelers from the four.

The Mangalore rural police are now investigating.
