Subrahmanya, April 4 : Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa said that State government is giving emphasis to the development of muzrai temples and the first phase of development work at Subrahmanya temple has been completed.

Speaking to mediapersons after visiting Kukke Subrahmanya temple here on Sunday, he said Subrahmanya temple is being developed at the cost of Rs 180 crore. Similarly, Malemahadeshwara, Nanjangoodu and other temples in the State will be developed. The Kukke Subrahmanya temple will be developed in three phases. The work on the first phase is nearing completion. In the second phase, priority will be given to drinking water and underground drainage. A 240 watt sub station will be set up at Subrahmanya to supply electricity.

 

 

 


The CM said that the road leading to famous temples in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi will be developed. A meeting of District-in-Charge Minister, MLAs and MPs will be convened to discuss on providing facilities to the devotees, next month.  He said a sum of Rs 5 crore will be given for desilting of tanks in each Assembly constituency. The tender process is on and the work is likely to be completed by June end.
