Mangaluru, May 17, 2025: The new DC office complex “Praja Soudha” constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 75 crore at Padil was inaugurated by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday.
In his address, the Chief Minister recalled that the foundation for the DC office project was laid in 2015 when Ramanatha Rai was the DK in-charge Minister.
During his address, the CM also countered the statement of MLA Vedavyas Kamath that the project became a reality due to the Smart City Project.
The CM said Rs 20 crore was sanctioned for the project for Smart City. He said the initial estimated cost of the project was Rs 41 crores which subsequently increased. He also pointed out that the state makes an equal contribution to Smart City projects.
