Mangalore, Dec 3, 2011 : Dr. Aloysius Paul D’Souza, the bishop of Mangalore Diocese, has welcomed the state government’s move to withdraw all the cases registered against Christian youth during the church attacks of 2008. He also conveyed his warm regards to all the ministers, especially CM D. V. Sadananda Gowda, who is responsible for the move.

bishop 1The pending cases had an adverse effect on the lives of several Christian youth, who found it difficult to pursue studies or jobs abroad because of them.

He further urged the government to pass an order about the cabinet decision and ensure that the decision is implemented at the earliest. People facing various charges should be allowed to live in peace, he added.
