Mangaluru, Feb 7, 2026: The Belthangady Range of the Wildlife Division has issued an order temporarily banning public entry for trekking at Gadaikallu.

As a precautionary measure due to the increased risk of forest fires during the summer, trekking at Gadaikallu (Jamalabad Fort) in Nada village of Belthangady taluk has been temporarily prohibited for the public from February 7 until further orders, according to the directive issued by the Belthangady Range Wildlife Division.
