Bantwal: Amrith Bharath Railway Station works to begin soon, says Nalin

Bantwal, Aug 17, 2023: Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel has said that the Union Government has released a grant of Rs 26.18 crore for the proposed Amrith Bharath Railway Station in Bantwal. The works will begin soon, he added.

 

The MP along with Bantwal MLA U Rajesh Naik and Railway officials visited the Bantwal Railway Station and inspected the site for the Amrith Bharath Railway station on August 17, Wednesday.

He said the Union Government provided grants for the development of three railway stations in Dakshina Kannada district. The Master Plan for the development of Bantwal Railway Station is ready, he said.

Nalin said efforts would be made to extend Vande Bharath trains to Dakshina Kannada. The road approaching the railway station to Bantwal will also be developed with the help of MLA grants, he informed.

Railway Deputy Chief Engineer Rama Subbaiah said the Bantwal railway station would be developed with full-fledged roofing, platforms, lightings, escalators and other facilities.
