Bad Roads? Angelore Friends has a solution

Mangalore, Sep 24, 2014: If roads of your area are dotted with potholes and if the persistent appeals to  the authorities to repair the roads fall on deaf ears, then here’s a solution to the problem. Do not wait for the authorities, take up the works on your own.

This was what Angelore Ground Friends , a team of youngsters led by Alwyn D’Silva did when they found that the people as well as motorists were put to hardship due to a large pothole on the Kankanady Main Road.

On September 22, Sunday, around 30 youth came together and filled   the  potholes  by getting two lorry loads of red stone  mixed with mud.  Even the services of a JCB was used to ensure that the works were done in the right manner.

Angelore Friends also has plans to take similar initiative to fill potholes in other neighboring roads too. Corporator Asha D’Silva and Raymond D’Souza, body builder of international repute also were present and encouraged the youngsters who worked till 3.30 am  to complete the task.
