Mangalore, June 21: Padmanabha Kottary, the president of the district unit of the BJP, said that the BJP will launch Jana Sangharsha Abhiyan in Mangalore from June 25 to strengthen the party and to fight against corruption.
Addressing reporters at a press conference held at the district office of the BJP on June 21 Tuesday, he said that Manohar Parrikar, the former chief minister of Goa, will participate in this campaign, which is scheduled to be held at Sangha Niketan on June 25 Saturday at 4:00 p.m. The campaign will be launched in other districts on June 23 Thursday, he said.
Blaming the Congress as the source of all corruption, he said that the BJP will support Anna Hazare in his fight against corruption. Alleging that the Congress is trying to tarnish the image of the BJP by playing all sorts of tricks from the past 3 years, he stated that the Congress has failed in harming the BJP in any way in spite of its tricks. He also accused the Congress of attempting to transfer the country’s black money to Swiss banks and urged that this money should be brought back to India and used for her development.
He also said that the Lokpal Bill must be passed and that corruption must be curbed, owing to which the party will launch Jana Sangharsha Abhiyan to fight corruption.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Sajeeva Matandoor, Pratap Sinha, and Monappa Bhandary were also present at the press conference.
