BJP’s victory is certain - MP Sadananda Gowda

Mangalore, Dec 29, 2010: Speaking at the district office of the BJP on Dec 29, Wednesday, Udupi MP D. V. Sadananda Gowda said that the BJP is in the developmental stage in the Taluk Panchayat (TP) and Zilla Panchayat (ZP) elections in Karnataka and that both ZP and TP must join hands with Yeddyurappa’s government in order to establish themselves.

 

 

 

Stating that the BJP has acquired 66 percent votes in the first phase of the elections, he said that the party will definitely win during the second phase. The BJP will win majority in Udupi, Kodagu, and Dakshina Kannada, he added.

Stating confidently that the BJP will win by 27 seats in the ZP polls, he said that the BJP should not be surprised if it wins even by 0 seats because it has created such an environment in the state through its development projects.

Reacting to the opposition parties’ trend of criticizing the BJP in public, he said that these parties are unknowingly providing publicity to the BJP. Commenting on Poojary’s latest statement that if the BJP wins these polls, the people will automatically lose, he said that Poojary should modify his statement and say that the people will win if the BJP wins and that the Congress’ victory will be the people’s death.

Stating that Janardhan Poojary does not know the exact meaning of the word “scam,” he said that the swallowing of Rs. 1.7 crore in the 2G Spectrum case and Rs. 86,000 crore in the CWG case by the central government is a scam.

Referring to the Congress government as a “double-faced” government, he said that the party should change the name of the CBI to Congress Bureau Investigation. Responding to Janardhan Poojary’s statement that all Congress leaders are not good, he said that it is not yet known in which category Poojary includes himself.

Expressing his confidence that the elections in DK district will completely remove the Congress, he said that Poojary speaks against Hindu Samajotsavas as if he is a modern Sardar Vallabha Bhai Patel, while actually he gives publicity to Kudroli Temple. He challenged Poojary to participate in the Hindu Samajotsava and sit in the front row in order to witness the love of the people toward Hinduism. Continuing his criticism of Poojary, he said that Poojary’s statement that he had thrice refused the chance to become CM is a huge lie since Poojary is willing to contest even the ZP elections if he gets the chance. He urged Poojary to lie in such a way that it can be believed.

Mr. Gowda also said that the state has decided to sanction Rs. 1.5 lakh for ZP and Rs. 350 crore to the 175 TPs in the budget.
