Mangalore, June 24: The BJP Yuva Morcha (DK unit), organized a mega protest rally in front of the DC’s office on June 24 Friday demanding immediate banning of the Karnataka Forum for Dignity (KFD).

Kishore Kumar Puttur, the president of the Yuva Morcha, claimed that police inquiry has revealed the involvement of the KFD in the abduction and murder of two students based in Hunsur, communal riots in Mangalore four years back, and communal clashes in Mysore recently. He also said that the involvement of the KFD in the murder of Sukhanand Shetty, a BJP leader from Mulky, is also quite apparent.
He said that, although the BJP Yuva Morcha had demanded a ban to be imposed on this organization in the past, its demands had fallen on deaf ears although the BJP Yuva Morcha had shown that the KFD is involved in anti social and criminal activities such as extortion, murder, robbery, burglary, and so on.
Rajesh Shetty Phajeergutthu, a member of the BJP Yuva Morcha, said that Yuva Morcha condemns the KFD’s murders and extortion activities. Alleging that the KFD has been involved in criminal activities for the past 8 years, he demanded that the organization be banned at the earliest. He also congratulated the police department for solving the KFD-involved case quickly. Alleging that Congress leaders support the KFD, he said that the KFD must be banned at the earliest possible.
Satyaraj, the state vice president, read the protest report.
Speaking on the occasion, Rahim Uchil, the state minorities’ president, said that the KFD is wrong if it thinks that all Muslims support it, adding that Muslims do not space turncoats.
Franklin Monteiro, Monappa Bhandary, Jagadish Adhikari, and many others were also present.
