Kapu, January 29, 2024: On Sunday, January 28, a tragic head-on collision occurred between two motorcycles at Uliyaragoli Kothalakatte on NH 66. Regrettably, one person lost their life, and two others sustained injuries in the incident.

The deceased individual has been identified as Mallesh (53), a laborer employed in Pangala Durga Well ring works. Mallesh was a pillion rider with Jayan, who suffered a leg fracture as a result of the collision. Fortunately, Srinivas, the rider of the other motorcycle, escaped with minor injuries.

The motorcycles were involved in the collision as one was traveling from Udupi to Mangaluru, while the other was entering the highway from the service road at Uliyaragoli. A case related to this incident has been registered at the Kaup police station.
