Delhi blast: Police interrogate Karnataka resident for two hours

Tumakuru, Nov 14, 2025: Police in Tumakuru questioned a man named Mugaiuddin in connection with the recent car bomb blast near Delhi’s Red Fort.

Mugaiuddin had previously been linked to the Khilafat extremist group and was arrested by the NIA in 2016. He spent nearly six years in Tihar Jail before being released. Following the Delhi blast, ASP Purushotham and his team questioned him for about two hours to check for any possible connection. After verifying that he had no involvement, the police let him go.

Meanwhile, the NIA continues its intensive probe into the Red Fort car bomb case, with a nationwide high alert in place. As part of the verification process, the Tilak Park police team in Tumakuru also questioned Mugaiuddin under the supervision of ASP Purushotham.
