Mangalore Today News Network

Bengaluru, Nov 2, 2025: In a tragic incident, an ambulance — a vehicle meant to save lives — turned fatal when it lost control and rammed into several motorcycles halted at a red signal near Richmond Circle on Saturday night.

The accident occurred around 11 p.m., when the speeding ambulance crashed into multiple two-wheelers waiting at the signal. The impact was severe, as the vehicle hit three motorcycles and dragged one for several metres before coming to a stop after colliding with a police outpost.

A couple riding a Dio scooter, identified as 40-year-old Ismail and his wife Sameen Banu, died on the spot. Two others sustained serious injuries and were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Eyewitnesses said the collision caused chaos at the junction, with bystanders rushing to the victims’ aid. A video circulating online shows people attempting to lift the ambulance, which had crashed into the police outpost, amid wrecked motorcycles scattered at the site.

The Wilson Garden Traffic Police inspected the scene and have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
