The airline will be using Boeing 737 Max aircraft with the flight number QP 1101 to kickstart its operations.

The ground crew uniform has already been unveiled and it is meant to stand out from the rest of the airline’s uniforms.

The carrier had on July 7 received its air operator certificate (AOC) from aviation regulator DGCA.

With the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) giving its green light to Max planes in August 2021, Akasa Air signed a deal with Boeing on November 26 last year to purchase 72 Max aircraft.

Akasa Air also plans to launch its international service in the second half of the calendar year 2023.

"MAX has got a pretty good range for international. It can do East Africa, the Middle East, South East Asia, Singapore, and Indonesia easily without any payload restrictions," Akasa Air CEO Vinay Dube had told reporters last month. As per Indian laws, an airline should have 20 aircraft before it can start flying international.
