Bengaluru, Nov 3, 2025: In a scene that is described as being “straight out of a comedy sketch", a man was spotted in Bengaluru wearing a frying pan on his head instead of a helmet to avoid a traffic fine.
“In a scene straight out of a comedy sketch, a pillion rider near Roopena Agrahara was spotted trying to escape a traffic challan by covering his head with, wait for it, a frying pan instead of a helmet. Yes, a frying pan. Because apparently, when life gives you potholes, you grab cookware," read a post on X.
Passersby appeared stunned as the man balanced the frying pan on his head, with a person commenting in the video: ‘Just another day in Bengaluru." Others appeared visibly amused at the spectacle.

However, the post on X warned against such antics, saying that a frying pan can only flip an omelette, not save a person’s head. “Helmets aren’t optional fashion accessories or props for viral reels they’re lifesavers. So, to every creative soul out there: skip the jugaad, wear a helmet. Because the only thing tougher than Bengaluru traffic… is your head after it hits the road," it read.
The video went viral on social media platforms, with netizens offering their opinions on the matter. “Only in Bengaluru can traffic get so wild that cookware turns into protective gear. The man really said, “safety first, breakfast later." Imagine the cops trying not to laugh while writing that challan, it’s peak Indian innovation on a budget," a user said.
“When life gives you a Challan, get a Kadai (pan)," another netizen quipped. “He probably grabbed it from a street vendor after spotting cops at the next junction," another user commented.
Other users also cautioned against such antics and called for wearing helmets for personal safety. “If this guy really loves his family and his children in particular and respects his own life he won’t do this," one individual wrote.
