Youth Congress stages protest against price rise

Mangaluru, Mar 10, 2023: District Youth Congress staged a protest in front of the Mini Vidhana Saudha on March 9, Thursday to condemn price hike and also the failure of the state government in various aspects. As part of the protest the Congress also conducted a fake funeral procession featuring gas cylinder and firewood.
Speaking on the occasion, senior party leader Ramanatha Rai said the BJP was least bothered about the problems being faced by the people due to soaring prices. The ruling party, he alleged was only interested in inciting communal sentiments of the people.
State Youth Congress President Mohammad Nalapad, dubbed the BJP governments at the state and Centre as pickpocket governments which were neck deep in corruption.
District Youth Congress President Luqman Bantwal, party leaders Ivan D’Souza, Shahul Hameed, M G Hegde, Lavanya Ballal, Ashith Pereira, Meryl Rego and others were present.
