Mangaluru: Missing youth found dead on railway tracks near Uchila; suicide suspected

Mangaluru, July 4, 2025: The body of a 25-year-old youth who had been reported missing was found on the railway tracks near Uchila railway gate on Friday morning. Preliminary investigations point to a suspected case of suicide.

The deceased has been identified as Tejas (25), son of Mohadas Amin, a resident of Beeri in Kotekar. Tejas had reportedly gone missing from his bedroom on the night of July 2. Following his disappearance, his father filed a missing person complaint at the Ullal police station.

Two days later, Tejas’s body was discovered along the railway tracks near Uchila. The railway police have registered a case and are probing the incident, treating it as a suspected suicide.

Tejas was a student at an educational institution affiliated with the Manipal group. The motive behind the alleged suicide remains unknown, and investigations are ongoing.
