Mangaluru, Nov. 23, 2025: With the upcoming elections in Kerala approaching, police officials from border districts convened a coordination meeting at the Mangaluru City Commissioner’s Office on Saturday. Mangaluru City Police Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy presided over the session.
Kannur Range DIG Yatish Chandra G.H., Kasaragod SP Vijay Bharat Reddy and Mangaluru DCP Mithun H.N. participated in the meeting.

Officials exchanged information on criminal cases reported in the border regions of Karnataka and Kerala. Key discussions focused on absconding accused, individuals with pending warrants, inter-state criminal networks, and drug trafficking activities.
A strategy was formulated for effective information sharing and tracking of suspects involved in cases registered in both states who may be hiding in border districts. Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy said the meeting emphasised enhanced cooperation, joint operations and strengthened information exchange to improve crime prevention and detection.
