Yenepoya School/Prism Books organizes Library Fest 2011

Mangalore, Nov 27, 2011: Yenepoya School in collaboration with Prism Books Pvt. Ltd. organized Library Fest 2011 on Nov 18 – 19 in the school premises.

Mr. Ronald Anil Fernandes, the principal correspondent of Deccan Herald, inaugurated the Library Fest and Mr. Farhad Yenepoya, the managing director of Yenepoya School, presided over the event.

Since the year 2011 is the International Year of Forests, a number of inter-school events were organized based on the theme of “save forests” in a bid to raise awareness on issues related to forest conservation and growth and sustainable management. A total of 18 schools participated in this event.

Mrs. Severine Rosario, the principal of MICE, gave away the certificates and mementos during the valedictory ceremony.

A workshop was organized for teachers and librarians of various schools on Nov 19.

The chief guest of the event was Mrs. Rohini K., the district information officer.
