Two teams of 10 bikers each began their journey at Delhi and are riding through different routes across India. The team that has arrived into Mangalore is covering places across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Orissa, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The Yamah SZ tour will end in Cochin on Oct 16.

Through the Yamaha SZ tour, the company aims to appeal and reach out to a wider section of not only urban, but also rural customers. Yamaha also wants to demonstrate style, mileage, and comfort of the SZ models via this 12,000-km rally.

In acknowledgment of its corporate social responsibility toward society, Yamaha is regularly conducting safe riding education programmes - Yamaha Safe Riding Science (YSRS) to inculcate safe riding habits and to raise traffic safety awareness among local communities. Yamaha has already conducted this program in 7 cities across India since its inception a year ago. Through Yamaha SZ Tour, Yamaha also aims to promote safety riding among bikers through the slogan “Be Safe on Road – Wear Helmets while Riding.”

Yamaha SZ, which is an ideal combination of power, comfort, and style, has been designed with a strong focus on quality and performance down to the finest details to ensure maximum comfort for its rider. Powering the new SZ is an all-new 4-stroke air-cooled SOHC single cylinder with 153cc engine that has been tuned for optimum performance, that is, extra power in the low to mid-speed range thereby ensuring a stress-free ride on Indian roads. There is a large capacity 14L fuel tank which gives the ability to go the extra mile. The long cushioned seat ensures a comfortable riding position enabling a straighter back and extra comfort while commuting long distances.

Yamaha has always endeavored in bringing the biking extravaganza alive among bike worshippers and building a relationship between man and machine. This tour will definitely be an extension to all other initiatives of Yamaha in bringing the consumer closer to Yamaha’s corporate culture and their promise to deliver internationally advanced technologies in all their products.

The Yamaha SZ was handed over to four customer Praveenchandra Rai, Manu, Sandarsh and Mazid on the occasion.

Regional Manager Rathish Nayak, Ramya Krishna from Yamaha, Kuldeep, Akshay Raj and others were present on the occasion.
