Mangaluru, Aug 4,2017: Fortunately for Mangaluru only an autorickshaw got  damaged after a tree uprooted and fell breaking an electric pole near State Bank on Aug 3, Thursday afternoon. No casualties reported even though the tree and electric pole fell on the road.

Fire fighters and officials from MESCOM removed the electric pole and the tree from road soon after the incident.  However, it is paramount that trees that are not ell rooted and aged should be marked and checked lest they cause serious damages.

In rainy season the roots of the old trees becomes weak as the soil is soft in uproots easily .
